I couldn't find the right category for me.
So when I import 14.99 fps videos (with the Roblox video recorder which is bad enough converted to mp4 too) they are like 2000% slower.

The audio is fine, Just this issue.

Windows 10 user.
The file used: (Attachment 1)

Reply with a fix.

Also, I used the 24 fps setting because auto doesn't work and I can't pick >24.

14.99 fps videos

This is a non standard frame rate, so I'm not surprised you're having problems.

Try converting using Handbrake to 30fps constant frame rate at a high quality setting before importing into Lightworks.

I wouldn't use auto (or 24 fps unless that's the original frame rate or you've got a mixture of frame rates in the project), you're better using the correct frame rate for the video as a project setting in Lightworks.

I've downloaded the video and mediainfo says 1000 fps. It doesn't play properly in any regular media player I have here, only some internet browsers.

Very strange material.

Edit: As a matter of interest, could you describe the recording and converting history of this file in some more detail?

However, Handbrake seems to do the job.

With most recent version of Handbrake, I've used the preset 'Production.Standard' and set 'Framerate (FPS)' to 30.

FWIW

I've just read that ROBLOX has over 30 million active users per month. It has an easy-to-use screen recorder integrated, but OBS might be an option to consider. OBS is powerful and versatile screen recording software and, it's free of charge. This video gives a good overview how to set it up, basically:

I'd suggest recording in native monitor resolution with hardware acceleration (e.g. NVEnc), if available. Depending on the computer used, with Full HD material at high bitrates, editing performance might appear to be low. In this case the internal proxy workflow of Lightworks will help.

@hugly I use bandicam for recording but I use Roblox for quick recording.

Also, the problem got fixed with HandBrake.

Thanks for the feedback.

I suspect that the Roblox recorder isn't a good choice.

With earlier versions of Lightworks and Bandicam, some users reported about sync problems between sound and picture when editing Bandicam recordings with Lightworks. If you should encounter any with the current versions, please come back and tell.
