TOPIC: Adding Sound Effects Without Affecting Music or Video Audio

Adding Sound Effects Without Affecting Music or Video Audio 7 months, 1 week ago #194345

I am trying to add a sound effect to my video, but when I do it my music in the background of my video goes away. Is there a way to combat this so the music will keep playing? Thank you.

Hello,

I understand that you're asking how to add audio tracks to the timeline and how to adjust sound level.

To add audio tracks and specify position where to add, right-click on timeline, from 'Sequence Commands' select 'Tracks.Add multiple', select 'Type.Audio', choose 'Number to add' and 'Location.

To adjust audio level, you can adjust track sound level and set audio nodes in Edit and Audio mode (see V14.5 User Guide pages 106/107) and use the audio mixer in Audio mode(see V14.5 User Guide page 112). Furthermore, there's Clip Gain adjustment in Audio mode which applies to the segment the timeline marker is placed on.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...
