I need to slide two pieces of audio backward on the timeline but I can't move them. I can't even drag the audio out of the time line so I could re-import it at the right point. I always end up messing up the nodes or getting a negative number on a red background over on the right side of the edit (something about syncing).

Try Mark+park the audio section (deselect your V track(s)), use Remove, move the marker to where on the timeline you want the audio, click on the Clipboard tile, use Replace.

Thanks SMPse, this helped me also. But why do I have to go through all that to move an audio clip? Seems like I used to be able to do that. Do you know what causes that? Thanks!

Sorry! I just now noticed that this is an old thread. Not only that, I just tried it the original way, and now it works. Just a mystery.

Sorry for the false alarm!

I've locked this thread. While that would still work, there are other ways to do this now.
