TOPIC: Sync/speed

Sync/speed 7 months, 2 weeks ago #170609

Hi,

I am new to Lightworks.

I tried to import a video recorded from Cyberlink YouCam 6. Lightworks said the frame rate was 14.99. I played the video and it is out of sync, I selected 30fps and tried playing at 50% (I assume the 1fps difference caught up?).

All I want to do is make the sound louder on the video. I tried *shift and dragged the white bar up and that made the sound go high pitched instead of louder. So now I have out of sync, fast video and chipmunk sound.

PLEASE HELP.

THANKYOU!!!

That isn't quite enough information to be able to help. Click the View icon at the top of the MediaInfo window and select Text. Then select File > Export to export the text file. Post that exported text file here and we'll know better what's going on with your media.

Please don't edit the text from MediaInfo. We would like to see everything that it reports.

Your video has a variable frame rate:

"Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 14.441 FPS
Minimum frame rate : 3.757 FPS
Maximum frame rate : 30.000 FPS
Original frame rate : 30.000 FPS"

You will need to convert this video to a constant frame rate before importing into Lightworks. Many Lightworks users employ Eyeframe for this job.

As a matter of interest, doesn't Cyberlink YouCam allow editing their webcam recordings directly, even with variable and non-standard frame rates?
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

Hi, So I downloaded it, watched a load of tutorials and managed to do it! thank you, everyone, for the help!

The free version of Cyberlink allows light adjustment, effects and things but you can't edit the length or brightness or sound after it has been recorded.
