CUSTOM AND USER EFFECTS. In the designer transitions sections you'll find a wide range of transitions that can be used with titles.
When using them with titles, you should check out
USING DELTA TRANSITIONS and
USING ALPHA TRANSITIONS first. When adding our own transitions it's usually necessary to bypass Lightworks' own title blending. Those links will tell you how to do it.
If you want text to pop on a word at a time you will need to animate it on yourself. That can be as simple as masking it with a wipe, and keyframing the wipe position. If you don't understand what keyframing is you should check out the effects section of the Lightworks tutorials.
