Hi! I've been learning about lighting and colors now. i've watch tutorials regarding color grading and it works. love it!

so let's assume i have properly lit clips. i want to give it blue colors in 1 scene, orange in another scene, and yellow-green in another scene. instead of messing with the 3 color wheels (shadow, midtones, and highlights), is there like a special formula to changing colors?

i'm thinking that maybe i can use the same formula, then adjust accordingly as to how i want the scene to look/feel.

thanks!

Hello,

Personally, I'm a great fan of using 'Curves' on the 'Colour Correction effect. Give it a shot and see how it feels and looks when adjusting.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

What I would do is correct the shots in each scene to match BEFORE adding any tint or other special look. Then you can mark & park the entire scene & apply a color effect to the whole scene on a separate FX track.
I work in Manhattan, USA, but at night I cross the waters to sleep in Brooklyn, USA.

Also, post production is not an afterthought!
