Hi there and thank you for your help.

Lightworks Beta 14.6 revision 116913

How to I copy text effects from one project to another? I have read something about making a template from the text effects I want to use but cannot figure out how to do it.

Will appreciate your help.

Please have a look at P191 in the V14.5 User Guide found in downloads > documentation

Thank you so very much. Really appreciate your help.

I use the "Fade strip" special effect. Is it possible to adjust the effect on how the strip enters? I want it to fade in and fade out just as I have done with the text.

Thanks again.

Assuming that you mean the 'Fade Strap RH Text' preset, not 'Fade Strap & Logo Insert', and you wish the entire effect to fade in and out and not some elements separately, apply 'Fade Strap RH Text' first, then a 'Blend' from 'Mix' category. Make sure that the routing looks like this.

From 'Settings' enable keyframes on 'Fg Opacity' of the Blend and set and adjust four keyframes like this.

Please note: When trimming this construction for duration, make sure that 'Keyframe positions' from 'Trimming Commands' is set to 'Proportional'. This context menu entry is only visible if unjoined cuts are present on the timeline.

Thank you so very much. I managed to get it to work exactly as I need it to be. But, I could not get the menu where I need to change Trimming Command to "Proportional". I did not manage to find it.

Thanks again.

Hi again.

This is what I have on my screen. I don't see any cox where I can edit anything.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

These settings are indeed not so easy to find. The related sub menu 'Trimming Commands' is context sensitive and appears only in trim mode. Left-click to unjoin for trimming, then right-click to open the context menu.
