As the title says, this is for feedback and it's welcome. In fact feedback is hoped for: this may very well govern the way that the effects library looks for the future.

I find the presentation much better than the existing one. Branching to specific effects will be much faster. Some links here don't work correctly, but I can imagine the thread is still under construction?

To avoid blowing this database up over time due to ongoing discussions, I'd suggest locking it and adding a separate thread for discussions and questions related to user effects, if this isn't already on the schedule.

The links should all work correctly. If you find any that don't let me know and I'll fix them ASAP.

I thought that I had got them all.

And my ultimate plan is to do exactly what you suggested for as long as this thread is on this site. However the plan is to actually put all of the effects off site in a structure linked to these forums.

There are many links which do not work for me, from top menu and from single effects.

I'm on OSX currently and testing with Google Chrome and Firefox. Before starting a systematic search and listing them all, from your initial post does "Distorition" (and below) work for you properly?

That's a copy of this link

First of all two examples:

POLYMASKS is here on page 5, but the link from the opening post leads me to page 7.

From the group Art Effects:
The link from PENCIL SKETCH leads me to page 4.
There I do not find this effect.
Instead, I find the details & download of PENCIL SKETCH on page 2.

I see 15 posts per page here.

OK, this is a peculiarity of the kunena software which I thought had been fixed. In brief, I use embedded deleted posts to store links to the individual zips. That affects the post links, which means that moderators and users get different addresses for a given post.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. The problem has now been fixed.

Thank you for all the effort.

All top level menus work now as expected. I'll try all embedded links later this week.

The address of the official Lightworks tutorials seems to have been changed. First appearance in #188982 under "User Effects " in "check the Lightworks Effects tutorial"

It appears that refers to V 12.5 tutorials. I've updated it to point to the current ones.

Now I have also adapted the remote control effects to the new structure:

Now that all remote control effects are in one subcategory, I have considered the following naming:

Effects that control other effects, start with "RC"
Effects that are remotely controlled start with "rc"

Here is an overview:

Master and servant translates to RC and rc? That isn't sexy!

.. Just a joke.

Looks good, but June 7, 2019? I'm very impressed with your future-proofing!

Of course, I never make mistakes like that, and I always get my post links right too!

Seriously though, (as you've probably already noticed) the new versions are now in.

I've since decided not to do that. As part of the restructure I have room for another 19 new effects before I have to start posting after these posts. If this thread is still in this form by the time those arrive, we haven't succeeded with out GitHub endeavours!

Of course if we do have to continue to maintain this, these posts can be split off into their own topic and the library can be turned into a locked thread. It can then expand infinitely.

Make that "room for another 18 new effects"! I've just added a directional unsharp mask. You will find it here. It may get some code clean up in the next day or so because I threw it together in about an hour and a half, but it will remain functionally the same. You can safely use whichever version that you download.

Anyone who needs a version that will run on Windows Lightworks versions prior to 14.5 will need to ask. At the moment I have no plans to do it.
