I'd like your comments on this promotional video I am doing for a local diving company as part of building a portfolio and subsequent show-reel.

I thank you all.

Nicely shot and edited!

I'm just wondering whether the underwater shots shouldn't be deinterlaced before editing. I don't know, but they seem to be interlaced to me (are they?). Other shots are ok, only the underwater ones looks "jaggy" (see the shot with bubbles and the one with dolphins - 0:52 especially)

Thanks.

Yes the splits and underwater is interlaced. I did de-interlace it with...I think it was WinFF (could've been with LWKS) but it resulted in jaggered footage so much so that it was unwatchable. I am more than willing to de-interlace it if you can recommend a good workflow or some software or settings. I only tried it on a small piece - could've been through LWKS.

I've never needed to deinterlace myself (happy to say so) but good old VirtualDub seems to contain quite a lot of different deinterlace algorithms implemented (yadif, ELA, bob, blend, duplicate, discard, unfold, fold). So you might give it a try.

Btw I had to use win32 version and install "QuickTime / MPEG-4 (MOV / MP4) (by tateu)" in order to be able to open my MP4 and ProRes MOV files.
