This is my first work made with lwks 14.0,
honestly I know the intent and the motive that armed the new interface but I prefer the old "flexible" interface (...for my joy the developers have leave the possibility to use that interface like option).
I choose LWKS like my first NLE for various things the first one for the flexible interface, different from others NLE all omologates.
Anyway I have appreciated the works of the developers in varios part of LWKS, ....for example the control of speed is now most usable.

Any tool is as only good as the crafts-person using it - the creator of this composition understands the craft at many levels.

"Any tool is as only good as the crafts-person using it - the creator of this composition understands the craft at many levels."

...this sentence close any discussion, of course in general is correct but I would like remember that not all screwdrivers are equal, someone is better even if they all work the same way and the good crafts-person recognize it

I haven't problem with the real time in LWKS, in particular the files of this project are the 3K tiff sequences saved on the 1TB HDD (7200) so not a fast disk but the cache in LWKS works right, so the first play is laggy, just a little patience for loading the frames on cache.
With fast SSD or raid 0 of two SSD this issue is irrilevant, just with the Title sometimes I have a laggy, this happen more often with my BM decklink that works right with all other FX.

About version 14.0 vs 12.6, I don't like the locked way in fixed interface, so if I'm in edit mode seem there isn't way to edit audio fades or add FX, I can do it only when the specific "room" is open (...ok is pretty fast because that happen in automatic but....), and if I'm for example in audio "room" I can edit the key and the audio FX in a good interface but the edit trim is disable, this is for me is very annoying, we must pass from one room to another also for little thing.

Maybe there is a preference for enable a more free way of work?

baopao thx for the detailed info. I had the same thoughts about A / V tabs. a little "classic" in the fixed layout would be welcome - also for turn around editing. still classic has to stay.

I did not even think you were using img. seq. & yes, they are really fast in lwks.

1 tb/7200 hd, nice to hear.

In 'edit' view, you can hold down shift to make audio adjustments (without having to go to 'audio' view)

The new command "Toggle timeline audio levels" can be assigned to a keyboard shortcut. It toggles audio adjustment mode ON/OFF. This works in Flexible and in Edit mode of Fixed layout as well. I’ve assigned it to ALT+A. Personally I find this method to be very convenient working longer on audio levels.

EDIT: And many thanks to all who implemented this!
