Hi everyone,

I've got a site up with free music for films, games and other media:

soundimage.org/

It's all original music...all my own stuff. All I ask is to be credited as indicated on my homepage.

I sincerely hope my tracks are helpful. Any and all feedback is welcome and always appreciated.

All the best,

Eric

Wow! Thanks. Just what I need. It's not really easy to be a poor student who is a fan of film making with absolutely zero budget for music. You're my savior.

I'm cutting a short film now using several of Eric's tracks. There's some good stuff there on Soundimage.org even if it all has a similar sound.

I don't know the workflow,
normally its just called "soundbank" (midi->sfx/sample)
eg. the FDs have 1 sample on each floppy disk (1.44 MB)
(load it to the keyboard (real keyboard) or convert it for eg pc)

Thanks Eric. Have you ever considered offering multiple versions of each track? eg: alternate mixes - say backing track only and melody only?

There's one track I'm considering now and I would like to use it more than once in the film but rather than simply repeat the track, it would be great to run the piano melody under a narration then perhaps the backing track later to keep the continuity and theme consistent all the way through...

Hi Craig,

Depending on which piece it is, I might be able to send you the melody and backing tracks by themselves. Or create a custom version for you.

Feel free to email me some details and I'll see what I can do.

All the best,

Eric
