TOPIC: Roll at end: can text be a different font, or italics?

Roll at end: can text be a different font, or italics? 1 month ago #221436

Hello:

For rolling credits at the end: can a line or a short paragraph be a smaller font or italics, different from the rest of the credits?

And is it possible to put in a copyright sign?

Thanks,

Hello,

All settings of a single text effect apply to the whole effect, i.e. you have one font style per text effect. If you need more styles, you need more text effect, on per style. Depending on your design, instead of trying to synchronize multiple rolls, creating the credit roll with a text processor might be easier (and look better). Once finished with the design, save it as PNG, import it into Lightworks, and move it using the image effect with keyframes.

I'm not aware of any shortcut to insert the copyright symbol in the Lightworks text box. Create it in a text processor and copy and paste it to the text box .
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

It is possible to stack the text effect to achieve that. Make your copy right © 2020 in a text editor. I use LibreOffice

I like that look. it's nice to see credits that have been designed!

My tech-y teen son just discovered a shorter way:
He put in "copyright symbol" online
...to bring up the first recommended webpage (fsymbols.com)
...which he clicked on, then copied the symbol using ctrl + c
...and then pasted it into LW, directly into my text line, using ctrl + v.

I can't believe something that easy just worked, but it did.

I hope this thread helps others. EZ!

I keep a text file in my Lightworks folder with special symbols so I don't have to try and remember where did I find that??
