I finished a project, saved copy, and exported.
Returned today to find the project scrambled and disordered.

I had built the project by MAKE COPY of each step, but none are correct as I left them.
Every aspect is wrong: audio, DVE, etc.

Speed seems to be slow, and I had tried to adjust the audio two days ago, but they now show at 100%

2 projects are altered. 3 Others remain intact.

Yikes what did I do?

Is it the first time that you open these projects with Lightworks 2020.1?

Do you use proxies created by Lightworks in these projects? If so, does the problem also occur if you deactivate the proxies?

Bottom center of the start screen (aka project browser) you'll find the Lightworks version .
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

I'm not sure if i can help you on this, because I've never encountered, or heard about, disordering out of a sudden in the way described in your initial post.

Are you sure that you're looking at the right sequence?

To check all existing sequences, open 'Filters.Sequences' under 'Project Contents' up left, open one by one with a double click and see if you can find the one you need.

Did you use Sequences in a Multicam Bin?

I ask because then it is possible that the Sequence created from it is no longer independent of later changes to the Sequences in the Multicam Bin.

To check this, position the playhead on a segment in the timeline which does not work as expected.
Select the "Recent" filter in the project content, then click the "Current" tab at the top. Now at least one tile should appear there. These tiles are the sources from which this segment was created.
In my example, one of these tiles has a red flag, i.e. a sequence. In my example, I can also see from the segment text in the timeline that a source sequence has been added directly, but this may look different depending on the timeline settings etc.

Does the "Current" tab in your case also contain a sequence with a red flag if you follow the workflow described above?

Do you have any manually created backup of our project?

Yes, thankfully! They were exported intact on PC, Facebook, and my YouTube page.

Not lost, just spooky! <grin>

I think there are some misunderstandings about the terms:

Such an export is not a "Project Backup", but a media file created from a Sequence within a Project.

With a manually created "Project Backup" you can restore your "Project" within the Lightworks program (e.g. after serious errors in the project, or to be able to edit the project on another computer).

What was the period of time in between? Did you finish your project days ago, or is it a very old project?

Had you finished the project with 14.5 too?

For example, if you created the project with Lightworks 2020.1 or a beta, and your media is incompatible with the older version 14.5, and you then switched back to 14.5, the result in 14.5 will be different than in 2020.1.

Or did you finish the project many years ago with an older Lightworks version?

When you look at the clips in the clip filter of the project content, are the clip tiles ok?
