Hi everyone,

my yearly christmas timelapse video means struggling with commands again.

Workflow:
-Video the kids with a gopro
-Insert videos into one sequence and remove the audio.
-Find begin and end point (mark)
-Pick a audio track

So far so good. Now for the tricky part:
-Squeeze the marked video selection from the video sequence (40min??) into the audio track.

I marked the video sequence and the audio track (even added a empty video track) and tried Alt-V but it doesnt seem to work. Is this because I try to squeeze a sequence into a sequence?

My dirty solution: export the video sequence, and then put it on the audio track. but not how it should be .....

Hello,

Do I understand correctly that you intend using the 'Fit to fill' command to speed up the video to match the duration of some unrelated sound, maybe music?

Which Lightworks version do you use?
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

This sounds rather like fit to fill. I would check that you have a key assignment, because just checking at the current assignments there doesn't seem to be one.

There has been some key assignment changes with the 2020.1/V14.6 beta, some of which aren't desirable.

That is exactly what I am attempting. I want to put one selection of a sequence into another with fit to fill. I am using the latest Linux .DEB Beta (2020.1 revision 118883)

Check the key assignments, these are in the systems menu on the top right of the home page (projects browser).

This short cut is missing on my Lightworks, I've now reported it as missing in the beta section of the forum.

After your next reply, I'm going to move this thread into the Linux section of the beta forum.

I'm not sure if 'Fit to fill' ever worked with a sequence as source?

Please try: Create a print from your source sequence and use the print as source for 'Fit to fill' into your target sequence. Does that work?
