I finished a project that was 1 minute and 32 seconds long. but it took me over 2 hours to edit it. the reason for that is because I had to add so many title effects and change the settings in each one.
Is there a faster way to do that?
Is there a way to set default settings?

You should check out the Lightworks tutorials, especially the section on effects. You can save effects as templates set up exactly the way that you want.

  1. Park on the effect(s).
  2. If you're in the fixed user interface select VFX mode and choose "Settings". Flexible user interface users should just select "Settings".
  3. Right click in a clear section of the settings window.
  4. Choose "Save as template.." from the drop down menu that appears and save the template with a meaningful name.
  5. Done.

Worth noting: if you have used complex groups of effects saving the template will save that entire group.
