Since fit to fill is missing from the V14 user Guide, this comes from the V12 guide:

Fit to Fill

The Fit to Fill command is very useful, especially for cutaways, when you know the In and the Out points on both the Edit and the source, but the two marked sections are different in length.

TASK
1.With the Edit open in the Edit viewer open with the material
2.Press Alt+V.
3.The speed of the clip that is replaced changes, that is, it speeds up or slows down to match the marked section on the Edit.

Also a very useful tool for correcting sound tracks that drift out of sync due to slight differences in clock precision compared to video.
