Having saved a Lightworks archive, how do I then open it with LW - there seems to be no File/Open menus.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Before you use an archive, you should know what you have archived, and what you want to restore.

If you want to save a complete project with LW 14, create the archive in the project settings (with or without media):

There you should also set the folder, otherwise it can happen that your archive is saved where you have exported your last video:

When you start Lightworks, you can restore your project from the backup archive by clicking on the one shown below, and choose your archive:

It is helpful to know where you store your archives.

If you are only archiving single Sequences by using the export function in the project, then you can import this archive within an existing project, in the way you import videos.

I've moved this to a new thread, since the other one was a very old thread referring to an earlier version of Lightworks.

lightworks is able to parse your archived project on import too.
so you don't have to use "restore projects" if you don't want to get in all&everything
(= lwks classic batch import panel).
that's the way to handle eg project templates on shared space.
