This is a valid link to a Wiki page, it works in all web browsers:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)

That's the link embedded in this post via cut and paste: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)

Clicking on the link branches to a different page. Would it be possible to support this kind of link properly?

"en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)"

The whole purpose of the code delimiter is that it shows you code without executing it. It's doing what people who use that delimiter require it to do.

Try posting a link with a quote delimiter instead and see the difference.

I editied my post above and used the pair of the quote delimiter of the forum software and quotes, both with the same, wrong, result.

Maybe I don't understand what you mean saying "quote delimiter". What do you suggest to tell the parser to include "(Image)" into the link?

Just to be more clear:

That's what the link posted above is intended to show in a browser's address bar after invoking:

This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it.

Not this:

This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it.

Sorry for the slow response - I've been rather busy today.

I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought that you were concerned about the link failing to appear, not the image suffix.

If someone who is in charge of it should read this, I believe it would be beneficial for attaching error logs to forum posts, if the forum software would support attaching files with the '.log' extension without the need to rename or to compress them.

Also, some hints about supported file formats and size/resolution limits of images might help reducing confusion with attachments.

Also, accepting ".LwMacro" as a a valid extension used by Lightworks for plain text files with special content could be a valuable enhancement in order to be able to post macros without the need of compressing prior to attaching.
