I finally got the POND5 clip to work. I had to leave Lightworks, log-on to a special POND5 place to download the clip, then open Lightworks and import the clip. What a waste of time. Why couldn't I simply pay for the clip in Lightworks without leaving it?

I paid for a POND5 clip and it shows it was paid for. How do I replace the clip in my edit that shows the clip with POND5 words over it?

The expected procedure is to right-click your sequence, choose Media>Purchase, then the clip(s) will be downloaded and automatically swapped with the watermarked proxy media. Is that what you did? Did you pay using account credits, or with a credit card?

Great White

I tried everything I could think of inside my Lightworks project, including what you wrote, and it did not work. The only thing I was able to do is sign in to Pond5.

I contacted Pond5 via chat, then phone call. They provided me with this link www.pond5.com/my-downloads. When I clicked on the link I was able to see the clip and other info including the $80 cost and clicked on "Download" for 3 codec versions.

Once downloaded to my computer, I went back to my Lightworks project and Imported the clip in the normal fashion. What I did next was a "Backwards Replace" by marking & parking on the Timeline and all went well.

I hope the above process is not the norm!

Thanks

..and it did not work

Can you be more specific? Presumably on choosing Media>Purchase, you filled in your Pond5 credentials and then a browser window opened where you were able to enter payment details?

Media>Purchase and filled in my Pond5 credentials and that's it. You are most welcome to do a TeamViewer if you want to check out yourself.

Does your Pond5 account have pre-paid credit available?

No. The reason is I have various customers pay for them per project. Is this the problem?

How do I create a pre-paid credit account?

No - paying by credit-card should work equally well, but it might help us to narrow down what's going on. After you've done Media>Purchase and then entered your account details to sign in, a browser window should appear that looks something like this :

Which operating system are you using, and which browser do you have?

I am re-creating what I do:

I Search Pond5 for a clip and insert it into the Timeline
In the Pond5 Search area, the clip now says Imported
I R click on Imported and sign in to my account
Not sure the next step? Nothing pops up and my Cart is empty.

- Search for a clip, insert it into the timeline (as before)
- Right-click on the sequence viewer or timeline

- Click Media, then Purchase. The following panel should appear :

- Click Purchase. If you haven't already signed in, the sign-in dialogue will appear
- A browser window should appear where you can enter payment details
- On returning to Lightworks, the clip should begin downloading automatically
- Once downloaded, it will be swapped with the watermarked proxy

I clicked on Purchased and it took me to Pond5 to purchase with credit card info. I did this yesterday and when I went back to Lightworks, it did not download nor was it paid for and my Cart was empty, so I called Pond5 and they provided the link to pay for it and to download clip to my computer.

The next time I need to buy a clip, I will follow all steps again and report back to you.

Have a great day

A regular browser bookmark should work
