Hi

The problem with boot camp is that very few people use just one application.

Having to restart the computer just to modify a still image in photoshop, to quickly add an effect or stabilize a shot in motion/AE, or to play with sound in Logic is no way to work.

With new Mac hardware becoming available and many of us needing to upgrade, it would be really beneficial to have some information.

No one is really asking for a release date, but knowing when it won't be ready is also useful information. Something along the lines of "not in 2013" or "not before NAB" can really help us plan hardware investments and software alternatives until Lightworks for Mac is available.

But if it is ready before that timeline everyone will be pleasantly surprised.

In an interview at IBC Robbie Fleming said they're running a bit behind on the Mac version, but it's due out as an alpha late Q4. I don't know if that continues to be the case, slippage seems to be a part of software development as unexpected bugs pop up.

Looking forward to the opportunity to alpha/beta test Lightworks. I've worked with LW between 1990 and 1997 and loved it.
