"exec" is standing with in the grey of the file icon. The file name ends with .lvix You mentioned before that it is a data file used by Lightwotks, it contains the data required by the program to edit your media, since it doesn't actually change any of your source media, it just logs it. Other NLEs have similar files.

I do not get an export dialoge window as the video tutorial shows when I right click (pad control-click)?

How many repeats do you need? A regular control-click does not work.

Thanks you for the explanation!

I was thinking it is a file type assigned to the lagacy Basic language invented with the Apple II back in the late seventies.

For working with Lightworks, I personally would get cheap two button mouse, with a scroll wheel. That's the way it's designed to work.

YES - Thank you ! The old fashioned mouse (right click + control) works, now I the export dialoge box shows up.
( Still confused that a Bamboo tracking pad does not work. Who still uses a mouse .... )

I got one for my laptop because it's a lot faster to use, it's standard on a desktop.
