A few weeks ago I had begun to make this basic pdf file with some hints and tips on using Lightworks. I could not continue working because I'm a little short of time, but if you think it's worth I try to do more. Maybe there is some inaccuracy in my work, and for this reason I ask more experienced users to let me know so that I can correct the files.
It may be useful to those in first contact with LW.

Note:
I decided to keep the text of the original post, above, because I think that is part of the history of the forum and also because it is totally connected to other messages in this thread.

So here is the new document "Lightworks Hints & Tips" for version 11.
Many thanks to rhinox202, who kindly offered to revise and update the old document.
This time the hard work didn't fall on me

Finally, those interested in translating the document to other languages just let me know via PM.

Cheers

Awesome! Definetely worth to continue upon, so it can grow to be a document filled with lots of neat tips for beginners. This topic can then be used so people can post additional tips. I'll post if anything comes to mind.

One thing: you don't usually need to set out points (like you show in 'Adding still images to your edit'). Just park the time-indicator.

Well, first, thank you all for your kind words!

All additional tips and advises are welcome! That's the only way it makes sense to continue working on this document, since all of us are "learning on the go" here.

You're absolutely right! I'll correct that as soon as possible. (It seems I couldn't avoid performing some old habits yet )

Even in the NLE I work at for more than 10 years now, I often find something "new" to make my work easier.

Totally agreed! A few days ago I posted almost this exact words on other thread

Well,
That's the way I'll work on this:
Every time I make a new PDF page,
1.- In the first post of this thread, I'll replace the entire PDF with the new one, containing all pages.
2.- In a new post, I'll attach the single new PDF page for those that already downloaded the first document, so they don't need download it again. then, the PDFs can be joined with free applications like PDF Split and Merge (PDFSAM).

Thanks four your encouragement!

Great work, Fran! Thanks for creating and sharing this. I think it'll be invaluable to people coming to LW from other NLE's.

If you park over an audio node by using the A or S keys (Avid keyboard) can you use the clear function to remove the keyframes?

frandesouza, thank you very much for your effort. Not only do you show us things we might have overlooked (though I studied the complete manual *cough*), but you also do this in a visually attractive manner.

Thanks to all of you guys for your kind words and feedback!
But the credits must be given to so many forum members, that posted hints and tips on the forum!!
I'm just trying to put them together in a graphical way.
There's only one tip in the whole pdf which I can say "it's my discovery". The rest is all on the forum's threads.
If you have any hint or tip at hand that you want to share, let me know!

I still haven't found a way to navigate through audio nodes via the keyboard, I tried some things that didn't work. I think I'll have to do a deep search over the key assignments to see if it's something there.

Here's a tip:

You can add a dedicated fx-track to your timeline by marking a selection (in point + park), then pressing the Effects button, and choosing an effect with region set to "marked selection" (this happens automatically).
