Chrome blocks it as malicious.

I used the tool, too, and it is safe to download.

I've just attempted to download it, and Chrome definitely reports it as being malicious. It refuses to allow the download.

The reason it's being flagged as malicious is because it was written using Auto Hot Key. This and AutoIt are used by virus creators so many anti-virus programs will flag anything created with them.

Not very intelligent virus detection algorithms then!

Kidnappers have been known to use pencil and paper to send ransom notes. Does this mean that anyone who uses pencil and paper must be a kidnapper?

No. All kidnappers cut and paste letters from magazines. Anyone writing a note is always an older doctor still handwriting a prescription

Hello
I can't seem to find "show windows bar" in the Preferences.
It looks different than in the tutorial videos I've seen, where "show windows bar" appeared.
I would like to expand Lightworks to a second display.
It's the latest version 12.0 x64.
Do you have any advice for me?

Don't use the prefs inside the project, but in the opening screen. In the lower left corner it says "system settings".

Does this mean that multiple monitors is only supported on MS Windows, and only via a 3rd-party plugin?

Perhaps what you're looking for is now called - FullScreen Window (Yes/No drop-down) and is where Schloime suggests

No. In Windows, and I'd guess other OS also, you first have to configure your graphics card/OS to display on dual monitors. Then simply drag/expand LW across to both and it remembers your setting.

No. But it will be different in each OS. On Mac, for example, you just need to manually drag the edge of the LW window across your 2nd monitor. If you do this from the LW startup screen (where you select which project to work on), it will remember the window layout from your previous session. If you open the project 1st, you'll have to manually rearrange things.
post production is not an afterthought!

That did it, thank you! I set it to [No], and then dragged the edge of the window over to the right (onto my laptop monitor)... I suspect there will be some real-estate I can't use because of the disparity in dimension between the two monitors but at least I have a place to put the bins and other stuff. Thanks heaps for the suggestion!!!
