When I point the mouse on the timeline it only shows the slide cursor and when I try to drag anything on the timeline it slides them. The video explains it way better.

Knowing that I have keyboard issues and key registration issues on it, I thought maybe one key stayed registered? I restarted my PC and also tried to press all the keys on the keyboard to unregister/deactivate it. It doesn't appear to be anything hotkeys related. What could be the problem?

Welcome to the forum.

Are you using the V14.6 beta? Which operating system are you using?

Your video didn't attach, possibly because it's too big a file.

Does right or left clicking the mouse on the timeline do anything?

The forum software supports attachments of up to 20 MB in total per post. If your video exceed this size, you can upload it to a streaming service, e.g. Youtube, or a file sharing service, e.g. wetransfer.com, and post the link.
