I switched to the flexible layout, since the instructional videos use that and those buttons along the side look so helpful. I've really tried, but I've found no way to actually look at the video I'm working on.

None of the buttons bring it up. Right clicking shows nothing (as far as I can tell) for that. The manual seems to only show the other layout. Instructions on the flexible layout only show the video editor opening up from scratch when adding new clips.

So, please, how do I see and edit the video in progress in its entirety?

This is how to find your edits and very simply open them onto the desktop ready to edit.

Good to know.

No doubt exploration of the content manager, making bins and groups, becoming comfortable with saving significant work-in-progress edits as backstops - and more - will follow.
