hi All,
there is the possibility to set more undo ?
it seems to me that by default there are only ten, for me is dramatically insufficient...
I would like to adjust at least to 100 but infinite would be A LOT better.
suggestions ?
thanks
Gio

Don't confuse undo with editing, undo is for correcting the most recent operations, not for changing much of your edit.

You can delete clips that you don't want to use in the timeline. Mark and park the clip, then use the "x" key.

The settings can be changed, but you need to dig into the settings within Lightworks, it's not on the interface. There is a downside to having lots of undos, so it's probably not worth going much beyond the default setting.

For what you currently seem to be doing ten should be enough, once you've the procedure for two images sorted, you just keep repeating.

Lightworks stores for each undo step a complete copy of the recent sequence (instead of maintaining a list of commands to undo) and renames the already existing undo-flies with each editing step . This increases redundancy and data protection tremendously, but unfortunately file access too.. This can slow down your system beyond a certain upper limit of undo steps significantly.

On Windows, you can modify the number of available undo steps in "config.dat" located in the Lightworks program folder. The variable to change is "Backup_depth". Start a plain text editor as administrator to modify there or, copy the file to your desktop, modify, save and copy to overwrite the original. On other operating systems, config.dat is optional, has to be created first and then entries added.

From config.dat:
# Configure the number of undos that are available for each edit
backup_depth 10

In any case, handle with care, 20 or 30 steps might be (are) reasonable values to start with.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

You may find that your editing response times slow dramatically if you increase your undos. Unlike other edit systems Lightworks only saves actual changes that you make to your sequence, not the steps that you used to make the change. For that reason you will seldom need more than ten anyway.

If you work in such a way that you rely on undo to let you experiment before committing, make a copy of your sequence and experiment with that. There's much less penalty for doing that than there would for increasing your undo steps to 100.
