TOPIC: Video in edit constantly freezes

Video in edit constantly freezes 2 years, 3 months ago #116379

Hi, I've recorded a video using FRAPS at 60 FPS. I imported the video and placed it in the timeline of a new edit. I go to the start and press the play button in the edit preview window. The video runs smoothly for about 10 seconds, then the video hangs while the audio continues to play. The video hangs until I stop it, which then causes Lightworks to go temporarily unresponsive.

Anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? Thanks.

My guess is the problem is likely the combination of the fps1 codec and variable frame rate recording. fps1 is a yuv codec and it doesn't always play nice with editors. Do you monitor frame rate during capture? Even minor fluctuations in frame rate causes problems in Lightworks. 60 fps and 342 Mbps is a pretty steep hill to climb, anyway.
