Jumping to a Timecode (only a brief description in LWUG p.54)

If you Right+Left click on the Timecode, in a viewer, edit, calculator, etc, this will create a "Timecode Strip" with a yellow triangle in the bottom left corner.

You can drag this Timecode Strip, using the Right mouse button, to the Timecode field you want to change and Right+Left click with the yellow triangle over the Timecode field to insert and jump to that Timecode.

It's also possible to keep a couple of Timecode Strips on the desktop for later use and to change the Timecode by Left click and overwrite.

Thanks for that SMPse!
I had to stumble a few times until I found the exact position where you right/left click to replace the timecode, but now I have it working

That function mysteriously appeared very early on in the life of Lightworks. My understanding is that in the O.L.E. days Paul Bamborough thought it was cool idea, added the code for it, but failed to pass on the fact to anyone else. Suddenly users found that they could "tear off" timecodes and no-one knew where that feature had come from.

I don't know whether it's really true or not, but it makes a great story.

A great story, true or not, is the only thing that matters. Thanks for sharing.

@Fran. I had some difficulties as well, until I noticed the little 'yellow triangle'
