Very strange behavior when zooming. All audio waveform is jumping.
The problem wasn't so annoing but I use zoom to find exact place to sync audio and video. And this task to guess where is the exact time point make me crazy....

It seems no issues in 12.x versions, isn't?

Anybody have the same?

How do you sync video and audio (from another source), maybe I may not use the waveforms for this task?

Windows 8.1 x64, Lightworks 14.

Hi,

I've seen something like this randomly but I ignored it and it disappeared. I have no idea how to reproduce.

What version of Lightworks (V14.1 beta or V14 release) and OS do you run?

Does it appear only in this sequence or can your reproduce it clearly with other sequences/media as well?

What do you think, is it to specific the zoom factors?

Does the audio track in the timeline come from a clip, subclip, sync or print?
Did you make speed changes?
Has the project been edited with different versions of Lightworks?

It happens for both sequences in same project.
These sequences made same way by inserting WAV file (fromm Zoom H2 audio recorder) next to original audio tracks inserted with GoPro Hero 2 video+audio.

It the same in LW 14 and when I installed over 14.1 I can see the same.
No speed changes, but shifting video to pass audion sync.

Audio is primary for me. I imported it first and do not move. Then I imported GoPro video+audio (audio in differenet just created tracks). Then I shifted video+audio to pass to imported main audio (from WAV, zoom h2 recorder).
Then I deleted audio from GoPro.

Here is new video grabbed right when I was writing this post:

Here is second sequence (made same way from basic of same WAV file but other camera with same framerate and audio freq).

So the same situation.

I've just tested that in a 24 fps project (output format set to 23.98 fps) with 23.976 video, audio stripped off in audacity and re-imported, pre-ingest sync for audio only on import set to "Picture @ 23.98".

I cannot reproduce what you show. What are your technical details?

Do video and separately imported audio-only sync properly?

What means " imported audio-only sync properly"?
Audio just placed to A1-A2 and video placed to V1. And when I tried to sync details (by waveform peaks) I can see "jumping".
My problem IS when I try to sync video and audio.
Is there some magic syncronization actions?

There are several ways to sync audio to video, including automatic syncing when valid synchronized timecode is present on both, audio and video.

All manual methods without valid timecode are based on audio wave forms. If those aren't displayed correctly, for whatever reason, syncing manually won’t work.

Because your profile says that you've been member since 2015, I assumed that you have done syncing before with properly prepared footage and correct import settings and your intention is reporting a newly detected bug with waveform display when zooming (under specific conditions).

If you need support syncing audio to video please post complete Mediainfo reports of both, audio and video and specify the frame rate of your project.
