Thanks, khaver.

AFAIK there is nothing similar to Autoit on Linux platform.

The most important is a core logic, the heart of the fixer. You've did the best job. So core procedures must be ported, but everything else may be implemented from scratch.

A first Linux release should be something like a proof-of-concept. I'll try to do that.

Now all we need is someone to port it to the Mac...

Unix-like OSX is very similar to Linux. I'm planning to rewrite it in Python, which is available also for Mac. As a GUI I'll pick GTK, which should be also available. Not the best but better than nothing.

Actually Python is great for cross platform work. My favourite 3D app, Blender, is written in Python.

I'm sorry I didn't get around to posting the source code today. I'll try to get it up sometime tomorrow. Life has a funny way of changing your plans and age has a funny way of making you forget what your plans were in the first place.

AFAIK there is nothing similar to Autoit on Linux platform.

That's true, but some AutoIt programs run with Wine.

I use AHK from time to time, a AutoIt fork, and just guessing:

With some changes to Khaver's project fixer it might run with Wine on Linux.

Unmodified it shows up like this in Mint 17.1:

Is this worth to be investigated?

It would be much better if it ran as a native application, in my opinion.

Yes, but it will be a lot of work. Is it worth the effort? That's the question gr00by has to answer.

EDIT:

I appreciate all work invested into supporting programs made by users but the project fixer exists because of some issues Lightworks has.

From my point of view Lightworks should fix these issues!

I think that just adding a button to navigate to the projects folder solves the problem: www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=23&id=99170&Itemid=81#99199

Maybe a symlink from
~/Lightworks

to newly created
~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Documents/Lightworks

might do the job without any code changes.

I don't know how to do that and to set the user rights appropriately.

Anyone to try?

Here's a question. Does the Autoit programming package install under wine?

Please see:

appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?iId=5480&iTestingId=27713&sClass=version

Limitations related to very Windows specific functionality might exist (direct system calls, some hotkeys functionality maybe). There might be differences in various Linux distro, I don't know.

I didn't install AutoIt package yet. I'll try it later.

If you dont't have a Linux system and wish to test some scripts I can offer support. For your own test I would also grant access to a Linux VM via Teamviewer if you wish (and a fast connection with flat rate exists).

Your exe file runs out of the box with the recent Wine version and the error message above comes out of AutoIt and not the Linux system.

Thanks, @khaver. You've did a hard work.

I see that CheckProj() function is essential. I see Windows related things at the initialization stage and GUI code of course. I will skip Windows related code and focus on CheckProj().

Do you have (or anyone have) somewhere on disk an examples of corrupted projects?
