I've just installed the 2020.1 version (Free in the meantime) and on trying my first export it wants me to log into Youtube. Is it not possible to simply export to a file on the pc as in previous versions?

Hello,

With 2020, use the H.264/MP4 option to export to your local file system.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

My pleasure!

Please be aware that the current beta 2020.1 revision 119765 has, beside of the unavoidable, some newly introduced heavy weight issues with effects.

Have an eye on the download page and update the beta as soon as a new build is available.

Thanks again. I'm really only doing quite simple editing with fades/dissolves between clips but will keep my eyes open.
