i am having a problem uploading a video from my iphone/ipad to my computer. i had to switch my settings in my iphone from from automatic to keep originals in the photos settings on my iphone in order to upload to my computer. I've always had some trouble, but now it's the only way i can do it. Now when I import my videos into lightworks, there is only sound. The format is 16 bit. Earlier successful videos were imported into lightworks as either 720p avchd or 1080p avchd format with a frame rate of 30 fps variable. Now the format is 16 bit with no frame rate. I hear the audio, but there is no video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HEVC isn't supported by V14.5, if you follow the directions in the other link in my message above, you can convert to a supported codec.

HEVC is a work in progress in the V14.6 beta, but it's currently in the middle of beta testing, so not yet fully stable.

If you are not already doing so I highly recommend using a pro filmmaker app on your phone for best results. It gives you far more control over both video and audio capture.
I use ProMovie on my iPad because i like the interface. Filmic pro is even more sophisticated but a bit more complex.
