I have numerous variable bit rate clips in MP4 format.

As I understand, 14.5 is supposed to support variable bit rate clips. However, when I import them they all run at faster than normal speed.

Am I incorrectly importing them?

Please help me edit these clips.

Apart from the variable frame rate(which v14.5 supports), you have a non standard frame "target" frame rate (which it doesn't).

Frame rate : 49.940 FPS

The solution that usually works is to convert it using Handbrake before importing. There are suggested settings in this thread: www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=23&id=166802&Itemid=81
