Hello. I'm a new Lightworks user and has been introduced to it by a friend. I started working on recording my kid videos for her private YT channel but recently changed phone. My Android phone records videos in 3GP format. I can play them on PC without problems but when I try to open folder in Lightworks to import them, the folder is blank like there are no files in it. What am I doing wrong? I can see avi and mpg files without problem

Hello and welcome!

Lightworks does not support 3GP container format, even AVI and MPG might carry streams which are critical, depending on the source. In general formats designed for streaming or highly compressed capture are not well suitable for video editing. Converting prior to import is necessary for not or not well supported formats.

To convert 3GP to something well editable you can use this procedure to transcode to MPEG2 I-Frame HD format using Eyeframe Converter for example.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...
