ive seen another Hauppage box the HAUPPAUGE WINTV-HVR-1975,
This is made for video to get actual digital tv or analogue and output as mpeg2 via usb2, so its not a game orientated one. Will this get me clips on the top to edit.
It has S video and RCA which i will ge using for an SD Hi8 camcorder to capture the tapes..
Im using a ASUS g74 game spec laptop. 16 gb ram, i7 cpu.windows 10, 64 bit. I will be capturing to an ext Lacie 3tb via USB3.
Will this be accepted by LW..i went to BVE today and spoke to someone on editshare and he said a new v14 is being released.
Will it work o the Beta version knowing what ive told you.please advise.

Hi8 is analogue, if you've got mpeg2 as an output I would record that as file on your computer and not bother with old video analogue recording formats. Lightworks can import Mpeg2 as long it as has a constant frame rate and meets industry standards.

Moderated: Post deleted - duplicate of the thread starter. This thread should arguably not be in the "Hints & Tips" section so I have moved it here. You're more likely to get the help that you need in this forum - jwrl.
