Hi,

Probably, give it a try and let us know. Downloading and installing the most recent version of Lightworks to test with is a matter of minutes.

Depending on your material and your configuration you will run out of internal drive space sooner or later and I can imagine that a touch screen isn't quite suitable for video editing with Lightworks. You may consider using a keyboard and a mouse.

Proxy editing would seem to be the way to go.

Why shouldn't it be possible?

It does seem like Surface pro isnt compatible with ext GPUs so that won't help ..I'm trying to build a compact and adaptable system. Maybe a lenova i7 yoga will be more versatile...
I thought they might be good for it by now..maybe they are for digital art and photography but not really for video yet

The Surface line is well designed, but severely crippled due to Microsoft's insistence on not including TB3 support, in addition to being rather outdated now due to the pitiful update it got.

The Lenovo Yoga line and the HP Spectre x360 are vastly superior, and at far lower prices...

... and both work well with external GPUs.
