Hello

I hope you can help me. Following the intro to LWKS video, I made a little clip. Nothing fancy, just one short extract from a longer video. Then I put on a title to run through the whole clip. Then I tried to export to YouTube and I keep getting authentication error ... unknown reason.

Clearly, I'm doing something stupid, but have absolutely not the faintest idea how to remedy.

Help!
Thanks
Lyn

Welcome to the forum.

Want to upload directly from Lightworks to YouTube, and automatically export a mp4 file to your drive?
In this case, you must enter your correct YouTube access data in the export menu.

Or do you want to export only the mp4 file to your drive, which you can also upload manuall from the YouTube website?
In this case, disable "Uploade to youtube.com"

In "Destination" / "Folder" you select the folder on your drive, where your mp4 file is to be exported.

Thank you so much. The second, manual approach has worked wonderfully for export.

Weirdly, the volume of the export is very quiet, even though I have volume at maximum on my computer. Any thoughts about how to rectify?

Thanks again
Lyn

If your audio is stereo, open the audio mixer ("insert" key) and pan the two channels fully in opposite directions (A1 full Left, A2 full Right).

Thanks. What and where is the audio mixer ('insert' key)?

Okay, I guess you are probably using the Fixed Layout. Go to the Audio tab and you should see the mixer. Pan A1 and A2 as I noted above.

Thanks for your advice. I'm obviously being completely obtuse because I can't make anything work. Panning L & R seems impossible on vertical volume controls that only go minus.
Clearly, this is out of my league. Not sure why it's so difficult???
Thanks again from a TechnoMoron

I don't have Lightworks open at the moment, but I believe the pan controls in the Fixed Layout are the round dials above the vertical gain sliders.

For larger problems I recommend a new post in the forum category "Audio". There you will also find some posts with tips which could help you.

LR seems to be switched off in your Audiomixer.
Turn it on by clicking on LR at the bottom so the color is white.

If all this is not enough, then also interesting would be:

- Volume original medium?
- Volume when playing with Lightworks?
Size of the waveform in the timeline?
