Dear all, I try to sign in an I get "internal error"

Welcome to the forum.

FAQ gives this for internal error:

"Please make sure you are running the latest release build of Lightworks 14.0 and that your network devices (Wireless and Ethernet) are installed correctly and enabled. We would also recommend removing any external hard drives attached to the system before attempting activation. If you still encounter the same error please fill in the form provided here: www.lwks.com/reportaproblem "

In addition to making sure I had the newest version of lightworks, try deleting the old licenses (.est and .xml)from the lightworks folder. (C:\USERS\Public\Documents\Lightworks - or whereever you have it)

I was getting the "internal error" and tried all the suggested tricks - latest version, copy and paste from a word document, I even tried the offline activation process. What worked was deleting all licenses and c2e file. The last try was using the offline activation with e2c file so it is still in the folder. I will try deleting all the old files before my next online activation and post if that works. I hope this helps!

Yes I did, and deleting the .xml was the recommended fix.

I'm not sure if understood correctly. Did "deleting all licenses and c2e file" fix your problem?

Yes, deleting the old licenses worked. Doing so was reaffirmed by lightworks when they got back with me after I reported the problem. Specifically, deleting the .xml file was their instructions.
