Although I never saw this exception message in error.log, I can imagine that this device causes the trouble you're encountering.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

That's strange, because it has worked without error! It would be a pity if the software doesn't work as soon as I purchase it :/

If the device has worked with Lightworks, changed settings on the soundcard might be the cause, but to stop guessing you should deactivate the device, and see if the crashes persist.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...

I tried that, but without audio-outs I can't start the programm (the soundcard is my only audio out).

No, I always just use this card.
But I just changed the settings in Cubase (8.5) and now it seems to work!
Very odd but thank you for giving me the right hint!
