Unless there are more than one screen grab packages called 'HyperCam, then the only issue here is a users inexperience/misunderstanding.

Have just set up the following HyperCam configurations
1. 25 fps record
2. 25 fps play
3. Microsoft Video 1 as the compressor
4. The following frame size
720 x 576
1920 x 1080
LW import both resultant files without transcoding as PAL 4:3 and HD 1080p
MediaInfo reports both files to be 25fps - no mention of VBR

I didn't include audio because life is too short but have no doubt that would be as easy - I note that settings up to 41Khz are available.

At the risk of being boring - I repeat - there is no problem here.

You can't be awesome unless you are doing it at 60 fps. Just so you know.

I would have thought 120fps at the least in 360 degree VR format - Cinerama eat your heart out.

From my quick look at the HyperCam I've downloaded it's the simplest and most user friendly of the bunch - still installed after 5 hours is a world record here.

Seriously though all a user has to do is preferably capture in their final output frame size unless that is too silly but at least use one of the following frame sizes
720x486 NTSC
720x576 PAL
1280x720 HD
1920x1080 HD
2048x1080 2K
2048x1556 2K
4096x3072 4K
The great survivor, HyperCam that is, allow one to drag a frame size and shows what it is numerically as the drag is happening. How easy can it get?

EDIT: --- and just because I could - I exported a 60fps 720x576 .avi file from HyperCam - no problem - that imports into LW immediately - haven't been able to play it too well on this office configuration LW.
