I imported some Videos, which are fine(I played them with Windows Media Player multiple Times) and if I play them in Lightworks they are lagging, they reversing for a short moment and then they are playing normally! I have a good Graphics Card (GTX 560) and the video files are in avi. What shall I do?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

.avi is a container and doesn't tell much about the video-format inside it. Please follow this guide and post the media info here.
Windows 10 Home 64bit, Intel Core i7 3770K @3,5GHz, 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM, ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti, MSI Z77A-G43, Seagate Barracuda 500GB C-drive, Seagate Barracuda 2TB D-drive.

Thanks.

It can be that Lightworks doesn't fully support the fraps codec, you can use Eyeframe converter to convert it to a mor edit-frendly format. Test that first.

It could also be that the hard drive is to slow, the video is almost 50MB/s.

OMG! 396Mbps? And with a codec that requires a third party application to decode. No wonder it's lagging.

This isn't about storing space, this is about how fast it's possible to read/write data to/from the disk. The video reads about 50MB every second, and that's quite much.

Did it work with Eye frame converter?

When you import the video, use the transcode option and transcode the video to something Lightworks actually WANTS to use on the timeline. That should solve the problem.
