Not sure if this should go in Screen Capture or Lightworks on linux
I was playing with the record function. I wanted to record a video that was on one monitor. I clicked on record (the red ball with the white dot) Created a device called screen, Video connected via, Audio Connection via Port Audio, Default Desktop. Clip Creation 720p 24fs AVI
I am running Dual monitors so I place lightworks on one monitor and the screen I would like to record on the other monitor. Some where I went wrong what I recorder was the both monitors screens

Is there anyway to specify which monitor will be the recorded one?

I wasn't aware that you could do that. Video connected via what?

Must be a linux thing. I can't do that, so I can't answer your question.

As far as I can see here on Windows, no, not from within Lightworks. Just checked with the current beta. There might be a switch somewhere, but I can't see it.

The recording tool records Display 1 as defined on OS level. When moving the Lightworks desktop to Display 2, it's out of the way when recording. Consequently, if you change your display order on OS level, which I didn't try, you should be able to record die Heute Show on the other display.

Add on:

If a switch for display selection doesn't exist, it shouldn't be rocket science to add one. Maybe worth a feature request?

Interesting, I have now also tested for the first time (Lightworks 14.5 & 2020.1).
However, I can only record mono (maybe a problem with my soundcard, or the settings?)

When playing and recording in Lightworks at the same time, my system seems to be overloaded (audio jumps and delays; reboot required to fix the delay).
Playback in VLC player, and recording in Lightworks works better, but also only mono.

On my Win10 the video recording was possible after I created "Add new device..".
