Hi there.
I have some UHD footage which is happily proxied by Lwks, and exported at whatever I set my export settings at. Fine so far, good old Lwks 14.5.

However, when I 'Export frame', it seems to export the proxy image upscaled to the project setting resolution i.e. if I set the project to UHD, I end up with a 3840x2160 image which is clearly the low-res (well, 720p) proxy upscaled to this size, not the original UHD image. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Yes indeed, 'Save current frame' upscales proxies to project resolution to save. From a practical point of view, it's hard to imagine any meaningful use case for this behaviour.

From project card, switch 'Playback media quality' to 'Highest available' to get the real thing.

sorry for my ignorance, but: where do i find that option "save current frame" ? I alsways thought i need to mark and park a frame to actually export a screenshot (and therefore never used it.. )

It's a command you can assign to a keyboard shortcut. It's not assigned by default. Here I use ALT+P ('print').

It is not a real export function, but a kind of better viewer screenshot. The set project resolution determines the PNG dimensions.
