The only family of applications crashing more or less on a regular basis on my computers are Non Linear Editing systems.

Somehow this reminds me on good old (DOS based) Windows 3.1 where the blue screen was my loyal companion and <ctrl>+<alt>+<delete> the most frequently used hot key. Thanks good, this had end with (DEC Alpha VMS based) Windows NT.

I wonder which company will be the first to develop a NLE which detects and compensates for crash conditions before the operating system shuts it down.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...
