Hello,

i googled but I found nothing, I own lightworks 14 and use it but not sure if I´ll be able to work with videofiles from 360 cams?

If yes, please tell me how, what plugins should I install etc?

Thank you very much.

Lightworks doesn't currently support 360 cameras. However, you could put it in as a feature request,

Let's see if something can be done for the time being..

Would you mind sharing one of your 360 degree recordings on a file hosting service of your choice, e.g. wetransfer.com/ ?

Hello, I don´t know the wetransfer but no problem at all, when I have something I´ll upload it somewhere and let you know? Thank you very much for your willingness.

I suggested wetransfer, because it's free, fast, easy to use, and no registration with them needed. Any file hosting service which doesn't convert, as streaming portals like Youtube do, is fine as well.

You can use hugly@t-online.de, but it isn't mandatory.

On wetransfer.com, click on the circle with three dots and select 'Send as' 'link'. Then, you don't need any e-mail address. After upload has finished, copy and paste the shown link with your reply.

Hello Hugly, this is the first footage in 4 K this shoud be possible to import somewhere for edit, but lwks seems to be not working with that - and this is only the 4K quality not the full, but it generetes thes some huge MOV file which is not playable at all ... so therefore I chose this mp4 format (insta 360 software is accepting this format).

Thanks.

Insta360 Studio2019 crashes here with the file, but GoPro VR Player 3.0 plays it flawlessly.

After import in Lightworks it shows as sound only, I don't know why.

After converting with Handbrake (preset Production.Standard), the file is importable and editable on my 1920x as any other 4K video. After export in QFHD (3840x2160p) the file is playable in GoPro VR player but shows a black hole on top. I guess cropping to 3840x1920 after export (e.g. with ffmpeg) is needed to get rid of it.

Is what I see exactly what a GoPro Fusion creates out of the camera, the two spheres already stitched, no segments, even in the MOV files or, did you use some kind of software to create it?

Strange, I´m just uploading for you to ytb the export from Insta 360 I have already on my fcb (I did it yesterday in few minutes, just struggled with it when enabled HW support in Insta 360 settings - it exported then up to 41% and crashed always in the same point).

Here we go - https://youtu.be/WHyPvJ9KQew

So you mean after converting it has been editable with lightworks?

Sure, I prepared it as I wrote for you - I just stitched it and exported only in the gopro fusion studio. But If you want, I can provide you with the original files from rear and front cam of fusion.
