I spent a few hours editing some video and creating a sequence from a number of clips. I then attempted to copy the sequence to a new project in order to have a backup/play around with a few other edits. The sequence did not copy over as well as I had hoped but when I went back to the original project the next day, I have a Sequence "Missing Log" error in my viewer despite all my media being present in my projects content panel.

In the timeline I can see my cuts from all the clips with but they all play back as black and the names are missing, only the colors remain the same.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Please describe as closely as possible every single step with which you did this.

Welcome to the forum.

Just to get the terminology sorted. When you say project, do you mean a new one created from the project browser or a new sequence (or version) within the current project?

I opened the sequence menu in the viewer > sequence commands. make > copy. Left click - the copy was now in the content manager. When back to the project page, created a new project and dragged the now copied sequence into it.

I created a new one from the project browser then opened a copy of my original project sequence within this new project.

That would look like that, but I do not think you mean that:

Do I suspect you did that instead ?: Make > Empty sequence ..

Just to say, the message "[Missing log]" on the sequence viewer is critical. It means that the file containing all metadata of the related clip (the log) isn't accessible anymore, this can happen e.g. if the clip underneath the playhead has been deleted from content browser or copied to another project and deleted there.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...
