It's possible to trim and copy & paste empty timeline. This can make sense. It doesn't always work as expected.

On an empty sequence, unjoin the timeline with the mouse to trim out and trim with the mouse to extend, join, and zoom fully out using the mouse-wheel. The horizontal drag bar doesn't represent the length of the timeline anymore and behaves strangely when trying to pan or zoom. Pressing <delete> appears to fix the issue.

The same thing happens when trimming a still which fills the timeline entirely to extend. No matter if trimming in or out.

Remarkable: The issue appears only when trimming with the mouse, when trimming by playing the results are as expected.

Update: With all tracks disabled when unjoing, it seems to works.
It's better to travel well than to arrive...
