Installed the program a couple of weeks ago offline, and had no issues once I had it registered, until the trail period was over.

I re-registered with some difficulty, but once that was past everything went smoothly until the trial again ran out.

Okay... got another "e2c", dropped it into the proper directory, and signed in once more ...and 'poof'it disappeared!

Now it happens every time I try to sign in.

Help?

Hello and welcome!

What's the reason that you use offline activation?

This trial period after first installation without any online activiation is brandnew.

I have no idea if your problem is related to this new feature.

If possible bring the system online somehow, try online activation and see what happens.

I have no way of accomplishing that. My Internet access is through my phone.

It worked fine the first time, and well enough the second (I had to reboot the program), but now it just erases itself from the screen.

If the issue should be a bug related to offline activation together with trial period you will have to wait for some future release to fix it.

Let's see if there could be other causes, if you wish.

Rename "Lightworks" folder to "Lightworks_BAK" located at
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Lightworks

Reinstall Lightworks and try offline activation. If it works you'll find an empty project browser, shut down Lightworks. Your projects are hidden for the moment but not lost. Don't do or modify anything else, please.

By the way, my iPhone can be configured as so called Hotspot. The phone provides the functionality of an internet router. The connection to the computer can be established via WLAN, Bluetooth and even USB, might be possible with other smart phones too?

To activate Lightworks online you'll need an internet connection for a few seconds only, once per week.

Yes, I have done that before, but not possible with my lousy S7 Note.

I have already reinstalled, but will try again after renaming the directory.

Thanks.

Okay, I followed your advise, but the outcome was the same.

But... I used the same e2c file, that was issued for the prior reinstall in the original directory today.

Is it somehow possible for the e2c to crash the program?

Heard about something like that, please see: www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=27&id=139674&Itemid=81#ftop

Unfortunately with no solution.

Could you please post an error.log file after the crash occurs, as explained in the thread I linked to above.

I never did see where the thread explained how to actually upload the file?

I assume you found the location of error.log on your computer.

There are several ways to attach files to your post.

Use Reply instead of Quick Reply.

Zip the error.log and use Add File, or use code box directive and copy and paste the plain text.

Okay... I figured it out. If you don't press the "menu" button, you never see those other options.

Please try again. That attachment seems damaged soemhow. I don't know why. Mabe you should try to insert into the text at a cursor position of an empty line after Add File.

After you zipped the error.log unzip it on your computer to check if it contains valid data before you attach it to your post.
