When I play my sequence, the audio is perfectly synched with video on the whole sequence, but when I export it (I use the 'YouTube' option here - I use free version), the audio just gets unsynched for some reason and this is infuriating. I found no way to fix it.

Bottom line: what I get as a video when I export a sequence, IS NOT WHAT I SEE/HEAR IN THE SEQUENCE PREVIEW PLAYER.

How dumb is this? I have to actually export bits of the sequence to check the sync and then make manual adjustments back in lightworks.

In the end I just gave up - tired of this.

If there is a fix for this thanks for letting me know -> You can't trust the sequence preview player ]]>

Audio in editor not working - by: catherine110 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195873&Itemid=81#195873 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195873&Itemid=81#195873 Audio Thu, 11 Apr 2019 04:34:02 +0000 Another sync issue - exports fine, playback is the issue (and no variable framerates here) - by: ray@raybot.net https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195835&Itemid=81#195835 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195835&Itemid=81#195835
Yet another one of those "My audio is out of sync!" issues but this time I'm sure it's a playback-only issue. I haven't found any other threads with this particular issue though.

Sometimes, when I play any video back in Lightworks (either as a source or in a sequence) the audio playing through the Windows sound system lags the video by some seemingly variable amount, sometimes barely noticeable, sometimes up to a good half-second.

Exporting the file and playing the result in something like VLC and everything is happy and in sync so I know that internally, Lightworks has things synced up fine.

Also the waveform displayed in the timeline is in sync with the video display. When I do a clap test and scrub the red line to the peak in the audio waveform, the video window correctly displays the frame where I clap.

When I hit play within Lightworks, though, I see the red play line pass over the peak in the audio waveform and then a fraction of a second later, actually hear the clap play through the computer's speakers.

I'm pretty sure this isn't my computer's audio doing odd things, other video playing programs (VLC, etc.) don't have a sync issue.

Maddeningly, when I close and re-start Lightworks, the problem (usually) disappears! Same files, same projects, same other programs open. I haven't figured out what pattern there is to the problem re-appearing yet.

Has anyone else had such issues? Any thoughts and suggestions appreciated!

Computer details:
Lightworks 14.5.0.0, Aorus X7V6 (i7-6820, 48GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1070 8GB driver version 398.36, a bunch of SSDs, Windows 10 x64 1803). CPU and GPU utilisation is low with no other system intensive processes running.

This even happpens with files originally generated via Lightworks itself, eg. H.264/MP4, 1080p, 24FPS, H.264 High, 48kHz audio, 16 bit, that I'm importing back into a (different but identically set up) 24fps Lightworks project.

Imported Audio Sync - by: jayswearingen https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195675&Itemid=81#195675 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195675&Itemid=81#195675 My audio is from a Zoom H5

When I imported my audio - it seemed to have synced itself pretty well - I was shocked that
I didn't have to do anything.

So, I deleted the lousy audio from the zoom.

But as I watched and listened over time - the audio and video became less and less synced (is that a word). Be the end of the hour long video it was WAAAAY off.

Is there a way to fix this problem?]]>

adding effects like echoing - by: Leatherelf https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195448&Itemid=81#195448 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=195448&Itemid=81#195448 So what I want to know is, is there a way to make audio effects like an echo and/or other effects like that to audio in LWks free?

So if I had a track that says "Hit It!" can I make it echo and decide length and fade and such?

Or do I need to use something like audacity then import the audio with the effect.]]>
