  1. I created a new (latest version of) Lightworks Project under Windows 10 using the default values.
  2. I imported a video file from a conducting masterclass into Lightworks (file parameters below) but encountered significant sync issue - audio delay .
  3. The file plays OK using Windows Media Player or Films & TV.
  4. An exported sequence from the video exhibits the same audio delay in WMP or Films & TV
  5. I downloaded the SyncCheck files from the topic head and played these on my system with WMP and Films & TV. They are nearly OK on my system - video and sound align at -1 or -2 frames (WMP better than Films & TV).
  6. When I import the 25fps SyncCheck file it has similar audio delay to my conducting video - aligns at +12 (or is it -12? video first then audio). The 30fps SyncCheck file won't import - frame rate problem.
  7. My conducting file has 50fps but imports OK.
  8. I tried using AnySoft to convert to iPhone mp4 then importing it - it imported showing 25fps, but this had similar audio delay.

My file details are here (but the SyncCheck file seems to have the same problem):-

Playback delay - by: Boi247 I render the video, and it's all perfectly synced. It's off by like one frame, but that's a separate issue, that I don't really care about. What I do care about, is that this delay is really distracting, and I've tried searching for a solution for this issue on Youtube and lwks topics, but so far I've come out empty handed.
Can somebody help me?]]>

Audio not working - by: kykareky Audio Sat, 12 Sep 2020 04:54:11 +0000 Audio slowly de-synchronizing from video - by: ChristieJoy I am a fresh fresh baby to the video editing world and I do not speak the video editing language, so I truly apologize if my question has a super obvious answer. If anyone has the patience to hold my hand through this troubleshooting session I am so grateful!

My project is a pretty simple one - using video taken with an iPhone6, syncing it with audio from a Zoom H5 Handy Recorder, and doing some basic edits (cropping the beginning and end, and adding some text here and there). I am using the free version of Lightworks 2020.1 on a 2.5 year-old Asus running Windows 10 Pro (Processor - Intel Core i7-7600HQ CPU @ 2.60Ghz 2.59 GHz, 64-bit OS, x64-based processor). The issue that I am running into is that the audio slowly falls out of sync from the video.

I did another project like this a couple days ago on my Macbook Air and did not have this problem (I used the same iPhone and Zoom Recorder) - unfortunately, my Macbook was not happy with the amount of stress that the export put on it, so using it is no longer an option.
I have tried adjusting the speed of the audio, but it seems that the speed can only be changed by whole percentage points, which is too much of an adjustment. I also looked through tutorials, Youtube videos, and older forum topics, but they all seem to be for previous versions (or perhaps for the paid versions) of Lightworks, so the fixes have not worked for me.
If anyone has any advice or potential fixes, I'd be grateful for your expertise!]]>
