I am new to lightworks and created my first project. It is working perfectly fine on my desktop but for some reason, I was not able to record the Voice over so I saved a backup archive of my project.

In the Backup process, I selected "Include Linked Media" as an option and saved a copy of my project. Here is a screen shot for it.

After this, I restored this project on my laptop so I can work around the voice over thing. Now some of my Audio background music are not playing. Some MP3 file are showing up but as grey out. Here is a screen shot for it.

Both "Working ones & the non working" files are in same format which is MP3 even with same bit rate.

Can you please help.

If my first issue gets resolved, I may not be that much worried. The first issue is not letting me record anything from my mic. Mic is working fine in windows 10 pro and I am able to test it but when I open lightworks and select the same audio device by click on the mic icon on the player, it does not show any movement in the DB bar and also if I record, no voice shows up.

Any thoughts please.....]]>

Audio is out of sync only in Lightworks?? - by: therealmrskelley https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180796&Itemid=81#180796 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180796&Itemid=81#180796 Audio Fri, 13 Jul 2018 06:10:39 +0000 Audio quality equivalent to that of EARRAPE. (Not kidding!) - by: PoofBallDaily https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180708&limit=15&limitstart=45&Itemid=81#180708 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180708&limit=15&limitstart=45&Itemid=81#180708
The audio coming from my camera is fine but the audio coming from my screen recordings are trash! To provide some context, I tried to import that sound of children saying "yay" like Youtubers often use. It makes me jump every time! It's like a mix between nails on a chalkboard and children screaming bloody murder!

The recorder I use is the gaming widget provided by Xbox that allows you to record things such as games and your internet browser. It has really good quality in terms of audio and video but for whatever reason it refuses to translate over.

*I saw the forum about variable and constant frame rates, but I can't convert them because then my screen recorders would have any lag smoothed out, and then that would cause my voiceover to gradually get WAY ahead.

Is there anything I can do? (If not this is a huge design flaw, don't you think?)]]>

Difficulty Aligning Audio Converted with Audacity - by: magoldstone https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180410&Itemid=81#180410 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180410&Itemid=81#180410
I'm very new to using the software and I'm having an issue and I can't figure out how why it's happening. I've looked through a few posts on the forum, but haven't been able to solve the problem. I shot some video on an iphone and converted it to constant 30fps and then imported it into Lightworks. I wanted to fix up the audio so I imported the audio into Audacity and then exported the result as a WAV file. However, when I bring the new audio into Lightworks it doesn't align with the original audio. Is there something that I'm missing?

Thanks!]]>

best mic option for good, synced internal audio - by: chris.paget https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180135&Itemid=81#180135 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=180135&Itemid=81#180135
Given that background of syncing issues, can someone recommend the best mic setup for achieving great internal audio (that stays in sync in the program)? Specifically comparing an on-camera mic (a Rode) vs a lapel mic plugged in to my camera. The camera is a Canon t3i.

Thanks!]]>

Importing Audio - by: Hagar the Horrible https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=179987&Itemid=81#179987 https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=179987&Itemid=81#179987
It seems like a good bit of software and with a bit of patients I have managed to string together a bit of an edit.

The problem I am having is that when I try to import and audio track in the 'Project Contents' Tab It doesnt show any audio at all.

The track I wanted was orriginally on my phone, but I have put it on my laptop and the external HDD where the video footage is...

Is there anything I am doing wrong or can do to rectify this issue??

Thanking you kind people in advance!!

Regards...]]>
