A great feature of LW is that the font names in the font list act as a preview of font itself which saves a lot of time.

However in this case I can't actually read the name of the one I'm using, and I need to be able to source it outside of LW. As you can see from the screen shot attached, it's illegible.

If anyone knows the name of this font, please let me know. It's the one directly above Keraleeyam.

Many thanks]]>

Complicated DVE Routing with Passthrough Nodes, multiple Screen Splits - Clips not visible - by: Q007
I am new to this forum. And new to Lightworks. I have been working on my first film for the last few days (and a lot of hours ). Also I have read parts of the manual und watched some online tutorials. So I would say I have achieved quite an understanding of the basics.

My goal: I am creating a music video for my band, created in self-isolation. We want to show all six members of the band simultaneously in a flexible split screen setup, which varies over the course of the video. Sometimes all six are visible, sometimes only two or three. So I always have to resize and rearrange the clips.
I have already found out how to use DVE and routing feature for this.

My problem: In some parts of the timeline my complicated setup results in situations, where some of the clips are not visible and I am not able to fix this, because there are no empty "bg" connectors available for my invisible clips, where I connect their DVE nodes to, as all connectors are used by passthrough nodes. I hope, it's understandable, what I mean. I know, it sounds complicated, and - at least for me - it is

My strong guess is, that my problem is somehow related to these narrow, blue bars, shown in the timeline. They seem to represent the duration of the DVEs being active or sth like this?

Do you have any ideas, with approach could help me fixing this? Or resources I can look into? I have neither found these topics in the manual nor in the tutials I have looked into.

Thanks alot

Effects and Passthrough Routing Problem, Video Clip not Visible - by: Danielle0
I'm trying to create a sequence which includes several text 'Titles' and several 'Key Images' as backgrounds under the text. I'm fairly new to Lightworks, but I use a lot of 3d programs professionally. After creating a few of these effects and moving them around, trying to get the sequence and display order correct, my routing appears to have an error that keeps my clip from being displayed (black with text effects still visible).

I'm unable to reconnect the nodes (specifically passthrough nodes) and restore clip visibility, as shown in my attachment.

Does anyone know what's up, and how I might smooth out my routing to restore the video clip under my text and images?]]>

Adding Multiple FX Tracks - by: CormJackFinalcutPro
A few weeks ago i did this really easily now i have no idea how i didi it.

I want to have multiple titles, not in one FX track but say FX1 FX2 and FX3, the only way i can seem to make an extra FX track right now is to add text to a video track, and then 'unfold.' But that doesn't seem to work beyond getting me to 2 FX tracks.

Dissolve on Shape Fill? - by: Xan27
I'm very new to the software (downloaded it yesterday....) and I'm trying to figure out how to add a dissolve to a shape fill that serves as background for a title. The dissolve will fade out the shape, but not fade in. The option "to here" and "from here" don't appear when I add the dissolve to the effect and I can't seem to find a tutorial online that shows me what it is I need to do or if it's even possible to "fade in" the shape fill.

I'm sure this question has been asked in this forum before but I cannot find it through google. Please help?]]>

How to create video thumbnail grid? - by: asblwks
I am trying to accomplish a 5x4 up to 7x6 (colums/rows) grid (respectively a "matrix") with approximately 20-42 video thumbnails (one video only needs the small grid, the next one requires the bigger grid). All thumbnails should have equal width/height, with fixed vertical and horizontal spacing, not necessarily keyframed to keep things simple.

In Adobe Premiere I would approach this with adjustment layers, and Final Cut can mimic adjustment layers easily. Though, in Lightworks I can not find anything which would really help; the closest are the split screen and PIP effects (3x3 grid) which are easy to use, but limited to up to 9 video thumbnails.

Manually scaling and positioning each video with DVEs is a nightmare for this task vor various reasons; most of all, I can't get precise alignments for the video thumbnails, or at least I haven't found a setting for absolute positioning and/or scaling. But maybe I am missing something?

Does the latest version (beta) support OpenFX?

If so, how to install them?
